With AI code generation, software developers create code faster than before. But how can the QA engineers and the CI/CD system absorb this increased workload? In this article, Sergei Cherednichenko suggests some approaches on how to deal with this situation. Author: Sergei Cherednichenko, https://linkedin.com/in/sergei-cherednichenko/ Software delivery teams produce changes faster than many continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) systems can comfortably absorb. The pressure appears in familiar places: pull-request queues grow, reviews become less thorough, flaky tests interrupt builds, merge conflicts remain unresolved, and resource-intensive validation slows the path to production. Across CircleCI projects, average throughput grew 59% year over year. For the median team, feature-branch throughput increased 15% while main-branch throughput declined 7%. Main-branch success rates fell to 70.8%, the lowest in over five years and well below CircleCI’s recommended 90% benchmark (Figure 1). DORA’s 2024 research found a similar pattern: increased artificial intelligence (AI) adoption was associated with an estimated 1.5% decrease in delivery throughput and a 7.2% reduction in delivery stability. AI-assisted development amplifies the problem by increasing the volume of code entering the system, but the larger issue is throughput: the delivery pipeline needs to control flow as carefully as it processes individual changes. When producers send work faster than consumers can process it, the system applies [...]

This presentation reflects on over a decade of ING DevOps transformation journey. It started from our early Agile adoption to building scalable, secure, and resilient engineering practices. This session follows ING evolution from foundational DevOps, tooling, and automation to modern platform engineering, end-to-end journey automation, DevSecOps at scale, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The presenter shares key milestones, cultural shifts, and global collaboration efforts that shaped our transformation. You will learn practical insights into how the organization tackled challenges, drove productivity, and delivered measurable organizational impact. The presentation highlights initiatives like “toil-hunting,” data-driven decision-making, and the importance of fast feedback loops in enabling continuous improvement. This talk offers real-world lessons, best practices, and inspiration from one of the largest financial institutions in Europe. This will be useful for you, whether you are starting your DevOps journey or scaling your Agile practices. Video producer: https://www.devoxx.com/

DevOps and Scrum are two modern software development approaches that aim to improve collaboration, communication, and delivery. Integrating DevOps practices into Scrum frameworks can maximize the benefits of both. This allows teams to rapidly build, test and release software while maintaining high quality. Understanding DevOps and Scrum DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops). For example, DevOps outsourcing company focuses on excellent communication and collaboration between developers and ops professionals. Key DevOps practices include: Continuous integration – automatically building, testing and merging code changes frequently Continuous delivery – automating release processes to push changes to production rapidly Infrastructure as code – programmatically managing infrastructure Monitoring and logging – tracking key metrics and system health Scrum is an iterative, incremental framework for managing complex software projects. Scrum teams work in short, fixed-length cycles called sprints that are typically 2-4 weeks. Key aspects of Scrum include: Product backlog – prioritized list of features/requirements Sprints – short, timeboxed cycles to complete work Daily standups – quick daily progress check-ins Retrospectives – reviewing what went well and what needs improving Integrating them combines speed and quality. And this is justified in practice because the most widely used Agile framework is Scrum. The 16th annual report from Digita.ai states that 87% of businesses that use Agile frameworks employ Scrum. Benefits of Integrating DevOps and Scrum Integrating DevOps and Scrum practices can offer several key advantages: Faster Feedback Loops Performing continuous integration and delivery in each sprint gives [...]

DevOps is the integration of automation with Agile development methods to increase productivity while reducing software lifecycle costs and times. An intermediary acts as a link between developers and operations, encouraging teamwork and providing greater customer focus. Coding bootcamps are a great way to learn DevOps. For further information, you can view the page on buy bachelor thesis. Finding Testing Needs DevOps practices allow collaboration between testing and development teams. This leads to better software. DevOps does not replace traditional testing techniques, however to optimize its efficiency a group must understand the testing requirements of its team and devise effective strategies. It will help them to utilize the best tools, while also taking into consideration key issues, such as data management and maintenance of automation. Developers should only make minor changes to ensure testing runs as efficiently and as fast as possible. This helps QA do less work and allows developers to move onto other features faster. DevOps is a collaborative process that requires two teams to work together to ensure tests are properly designed and can run on different environments. Do You Have Questions About DevOps and Its Impact on Your Career? Consider enrolling in a course or certification. DevOps is a culture and mindset that can be taught in introductory courses. They also cover tools and technologies such as Jenkins and Kubernetes. Test Tools Identification There are a number of tools available to assist with the software integration, monitoring and distribution processes.
Every year brings new challenges and seasonal peaks such as Cyber Monday and Black Friday. During these events, businesses experience an unusual amount of pressure followed by a faster pace of work, a higher volume of transactions, etc. Companies are most vulnerable during seasonal peaks because of the many challenges they must conquer. Author: Derrick Meeks Managing traffic influx is just the tip of the iceberg. Business leaders must find innovative and effective ways to solve problems and handle the tasks such as performance and load testing, rebuilding catalog infrastructure, and ensuring every prospect receives an unprecedented customer experience. Black Friday puts a lot of pressure on development teams. They must manage their everyday tasks and handle the complexity of massive sales while working on tight deadlines. Thankfully, they’re not alone in this never-ending struggle. Enter Agile. Agile is the solution for mitigating crises and short periods by diminishing the barrier between increased market needs and limited resources. Let’s discuss how combining DevOps and Agile can help a business during seasonal peaks. Black Friday madness from project management viewpoint Black Friday sales can be highly profitable to any company. However, the main criterion is that you should start building its plan sometime in the fall. You cannot expect that developers or marketers will complete tasks last minute. Even if they do, they might not be calculated enough. Therefore, dedicate enough time to prep for each step, add necessary content to websites or apps, and craft design inviting web elements.
